Who Are We?
The Bond Foundation for Animal Welfare began operation in 1997
for the purpose of reducing the over-population of dogs and
cats. Our mandate is to spay and neuter strays and abandoned
animals and to educate and encourage pet owners to have their
animals fixed.
Grass-Roots Workers Supported --
The Foundation supports charities that take in animals, clean
and medicate them and have them sterilized. We also
work with independent volunteers who venture out day or night,
and in all weather, to pick up strays in the city, at campsites,
barns and trailer parks. The plight of these abandoned animals
is heartbreaking. This is where over-population is at its
worst and spaying and neutering is needed most.
Eight Shelters Supported -- We now support eight shelters
by covering 75% of their costs for immunizing and spaying
or neutering their animals. These are "no-kill"
shelters and all the animals are sterilized before adoption.
Six Thousand Animals Fixed -- In our four year history we
have sterilized almost 6,000 animals.
